After cruel humans started throwing stones at them, these loyal dog siblings found comfort and strength in each other

Kanza K.

It literally brings a grown man to tears just hearing about what the stray dogs endure when living on the streets.

I can only imagine how terrified of PTSD, starving to death, considering this terrible, scary world.

Fortunately, there are hoomans who devote their lives to rescuing these fur babes and giving them a life worth living.

Today, I am sharing the tales of Lina and Sophie, two puppy litter siblings whose fates were saved by humans.

Things do get better

Lina and Sophie spent their early years hiding from the world — sleeping on construction sites, out of sight from humanity and all of its darkness. The little puppies were always in danger because a construction building is no place for pups.

But Lina and Sophie grew so afraid of people, of the extreme danger they endured and the cruel humans who stoned them.

However, what was even more heartbreaking is that the construction workers planned to poison them with food to get rid of the pups.

@happydoggoniall Lina and Sophie had the hardest imaginable first year on this planet but oh how their lives have changed for the better. Since they were born a year ago… 🇹🇭 Born on the streets in Thailand 🐕 Grew up as puppies on a construction site 🪨 Had people throw rocks at them to chase them away 🦠 We were given 24 hours to rescue them or they would be poisoned 🤒 Shortly after rescuing them they got Parvo. They lost their little brother but they both survived. It was touch and go for 2 whole weeks on a drip in the vets 😳 They were in quarantine for another 4 weeks and become utterly terrified of all humans 📅 After months of slowly training and meeting their new owners who came to visit they slowly came out of their shells. ✈️ Their next challenge was their flight to England to their forever homes. These 2 girls have overcome all that in just 1 year and look at them now. It's amazing to me that they have patient and caring owners who are willing to put so much time into their wellbeing. We do the bit at the start not the wonderful adopters take over the care and being patient with these dogs for life. It's a big ask compared to just getting a cute local puppy. They are still slowly settling in and decompressing but look at their happy little faces. Fortunately, after hearing about their grim predicament a rescue group packed their equipment and headed down to the spot hoping to bring the furry siblings into safe hands.

Event though it took hours of effort to get Lina and Sophie into the kennel. They were then transferred to the shelter, where their health was carefully checked.

By a few days later, the pups were still frightened but their health seemed to be on the mend. Tragically, both pups fell ill to Parvo virus at the same time – a highly contagious DNA virus that can bedetermined in dogs around 3 months of age and unvaccinated dogs.

So this was really a setback for the pups, but thankfully, their humans did not give up on them.

Road To Recovery

The shelter staff was able to take these sweet girls to the vet they were round-the-clock care provided. The pups recovered 100% after weeks of love & care, thank God!

But their recovery still had a way to go!

Lina and Sophie were now going to have to rebuild their confidence with the staff.

After much effort and a ton of patience, those doggo siblings began to break from their shells – and demonstrate just how girly and fun they actually may be!

But those days gave them hairy siblings and turned these guys into completely different animals. They transformed overnight from a pair of recluses to gleeful pups dashing around the shelter, living their best life!

Which is why they should come as no surprise, when a loving family spotted them and decided to offer up a forever home full of love!

The girls are now adults, living their best life.

They don’t have to protect themselves from mean hoomans anymore, or search for a place to sleep. Which for them has left them with a lovely family that really makes sure they have everything that little hearts could possibly desire.

Thank you to every hooman who made this possible 🐾 To all my fellow animal rescue peeps, you ARE creating a better world!

Thank you!
