Some lives are far from sunny, as the unfortunate pups are consigned to a life on the street or, at best, trapped in a dark and frigid shelter all too well understood.
And a Pit Bull named Bunny avoided that necessary evil because, as an infant, she became a full-fledged member of a family that loves her. However, unfortunately, her life course soon altered entirely as she caught tetanus, an extremely rare but deadly infection.
That was when her entire body stopped, and no longer did any part of it move — other than her tail. Her owners were keeping their fingers crossed, but the prognosis was grim, and all signs pointed to the worst.”
“Crazy Person”
Bunny’s condition was such that her parents have had no choice but to give her up. They did a ton of things, but none of which worked. Some of these teens believe euthanasia was the only sensible solution.
But Bunny’sBunny’s vet, Ali Thompson, didn’t want to just give up on the dog — even if the situation was tough. As a result, she made an amazing decision – she took sick Bunny home with her to nurse her.
Ali told The Dodo, “I thought well if I was going to be a crazy person then so be it. I’m gonna do everything in my power to try and get her to live.”
Those three weeks of intensive care for Bunny were the hardest weeks of Ali’s life. This dog literally required 24/7 care as she never stopped convulsing and was in pain all the time.
Ali was also broken emotionally and mentally, in addition to Bunny being a physically draining situation for her. As a result, she cried many evenings from tiredness and sorrow.

But the only part of Bunny that could move — this instrument made her survive and not let down!
Ali put it this way: “I’d show up, and her tail would just go to work.
It was proof that even though Bunny’sBunny’s body appeared wretched, deep down within her heart still beat a vibrant spirit that had not yet given up on life.
Tears Of Joy
The sunshine finally broke through the beams in this house after three dark weeks. Bunny was getting well, and it would be only some days till the happiest moment occurred.

And then one day, one afternoon to be precise, it did. As Ali glimpsed the white dot running back and forth in her yard, she finally could barely keep herself from screaming with joy, as she recognized what it was. But she wept only tears of joy when Bunny stepped out with those first tiny steps.
It was just pure joy on Ali’s part when she said, “I knew she had it in her.”
Nothing would stop Bunny from her complete recovery after that fateful afternoon. It was exactly like that, and before long, she was running around, jumping around, and playing just like the average dog.
So the original plan was to go in and maybe help Bunny be able to get adopted, but having seen her in this lovely state for the first time, Ali decided that this dog deserves his happy ending – she took Bunny home.

Years after these epic life moments, Bunny now has a happy and loving forever home, and her mom feels like the luckiest person on earth every single day.
A being that had helped everyone turn their heads when she needed the most love in the world, and from a “crazy person,” Ali became the happiest woman alive.
