The moment some wretched, matted dog fights its way into your ama agency, it becomes obvious that they are not enjoying a wholesome canine existence.
Such was the story of Chewie, a good-natured eight-year-old doggo who was abandoned like an old piece of junk when his family left town moving away from their rental property.
Needless to say, Chewie wasn’t too impressed with this. He was isolated, loveless and nobody to care for his health. Fortunately, he was found by amazing rescuers who cleaned him up, and made it so that he now has a life to live for real.
A Much-Needed Makeover
His new best friend met him with open arms and a shattered heart as she came to know him at the shelter, Mel — the groomer at the shelter. It was hard to believe that someone had left such a sweet boy and let him get into this awful condition.
Mel gave him the full treatment right away, and started to bathe and cut his coat if he wouldn’t allow it.

Groomers must be extremely cautious when grooming these matted fur puddles because so many times those mats will hide wounds, fleas, irritated skin or other issues that can exacerbate the situation.
Mel slowly approached Chewie and began cutting the long matted hair around his face before moving enthusiastically towards his body. When she discovered the large belly that was hiding beneath that fur, she was quite surprised.

One other thing that was very apparent — a really sore eye. The underlying condition which leads to such a state is mostly an injury due to accident, aggression by another animal or human violence.
But first, how good was Chewie on his little spa day?! His haircut/bath, and even the drying of him went so smoothly that everyone at the shelter was in total disbelief.
And, of course, Mel gave him plenty of reassurance all through it so he knew what a good boy he was.

So of course, Frosted Faces Foundation — a nonprofit animal rescue in Ramona, California — swooped in to adopt Chewie and save him from spending another day at the shelter.
Now at a California rescue, he is passing the days making friends and waiting patiently for an adoptive family to take him in and provide him with the joyful life he always deserved.
Final Word
Sadly, stray puppies are not an uncommon sight.
I am afraid some hoomans forget that when they leave these babies behind, they may also cause them psychological harm along with bodily.
One thing we may all know about dogs is-, they are creatures that newbies with a faith-like level of trust and trust their hoomans because they have no memory of past wrong-doings too!. When they wake up and you are no longer there to cuddle them in your arms, freezing slowly as if accustomed to the cold, the worst thing is that it is never used again.
They get confused and sad and sometimes even violent when left alone after being abandoned so quickly without notice!
So my ask is if you can not care about your puppers anymore for any reason, please PLEASE surrender him/her to your local shelter so he or she may have a second chance. They deserve it!
