Some dogs will wait their whole lives for that family to come along.
In fact, some are blessed to do the waiting part in a cozy shelter with humans who care for them. Unfortunately, not all get that luxury. They are not served a hot meal and given a safe bed for the night, but search the fields for a roof over their own heads.
Most of them will never even trace one down. Rather, they end up in the worst of situations, waiting for their tragic end.
Also headed for a sad end, when a farmer saw her in dire streights.
Stuck In The Mud No One To Help
For this farmer, it was just an ordinary day. One day, he was heading home from the farm when he heard some barking in the distance.
The man, however, did not seem to pay attention at first, as there were many stray dogs in the area. But the barking grew louder and soon became a cry for help, and now the man was perplexed.
For a few minutes, he combed the area until he spotted a weird ball of fur bobbing on the surface of a muddy swamp.
But the farmer looked a little closer — and realized something pretty shocking.
It wasn’t a fur ball but a fully-fledged dog — stuck in the swamp and unable to get out.
She looks back at him with a desperate plea, please please help me. My barks quickly turned into a frozen position and a shivering noggin. She was extremely terrified of the stranger, yet her silence was born out of the desire to make everything alright.
She was lying with her body submerged in the water with her head sticking out, totally surrendering.
One Good Man Was All It Took
The man was still shocked from what he had just seen but had to think fast.
The only thing surrounding the dog was deep swamp, which is why he could not get close to this sweet girl.
He needed a new strategy and had just the solution on how to execute it!
The farmer took a piece of wooden plank that was lying there and placed it in the mud. He slowly put his foot on it and eventually made his way up to the dog. Then, all of a sudden, he seized the pup by the scruff and pulled her out.
Doing this was no easy task; she was covered in the heavy mud. But the man was able to assist the poor dog.
The pooch was still in shock and took a few minutes to compose herself. As she did, the man took some reeds from the field and rubbed away fragments of clay still left on the dog.
When she was finally strong enough to rise up and walk and the dog exited shortly, giving the hero in the distance one last glance.
So he figured that was the end of that, until finally the man just couldn’t bear the idea of never seeing the dog again. So he took action and decided to change that!
A few days later, he thought of searching for her. Hed hoped the dog was still in the neighborhood, and he was correct.
Was still there, awaiting her guardian angel! That said, her fur was so much better now, and she looked so cute.
Fluffy Girl Doggo In A New House
The man soon discovered he and the “sludgy canine” were a match made in heaven.
He formally welcomed her into his home, especially providing her a shelter, a warm place to spend the rest of her life with him by her side.
It’s just nice to see these two in a more wholesome scenario than one of their earliest meetings. Just that she is finally about to get the good life — far and away from all the wandering — makes everything such a good reward.
And this tough little dog is on her way to her new life and new human, where the exciting adventures will continue!
