As the rescuer got closer, they noticed the pup’s colossal belly, leading them to believe she was pregnant. Concerned that she might give birth at any moment, they rushed her to the vet for an examination.
However, after some tests, the vet revealed that the pup was not pregnant but rather suffering from heart failure.
This condition made it hard for her to breathe and caused fluid buildup in her abdomen, giving her the appearance of being pregnant. Given her serious health issues, the vets acted quickly and performed a procedure to remove over 100 ounces of fluid from her belly.
