They say you’ll always remember your childhood dog, and Ludo sure does make himself known around his human siblings!
This sweet Husky Akita mix is the essence of a family’s best friend, and he does so with a lot of love.
It all started when his owner, Tia Layock, gave birth to her first child, Jaxon. Ludo instantly went into his Nanny mode, and the rest, as they say, is history!
Now, Ludo is getting a new role in life. He makes sure that his siblings sleep well every night!
Ludo, The best Big Brother
Jaxon was Ludo’s first little charge when he assumed his role as the family nanny, but in short order, his owners got another baby — a girl, Bonnie!
In a TikTok video uploaded by Tia, Ludo can be seen crossing between the siblings merely to check that they were alright. He ambled slowly into their room, padded softly over to their bed, and then gave them a gentle sniff.
He would wait until his siblings were fast asleep before he sauntered off at a snail’s pace, then he would settle himself down by the door and keep watch over them until they awoke.
He performs this little ritual each night, usually with the company of his mom or dad.

Sometimes, Ludo even kisses his humans on their cheeks and says goodnight to them.
Layock’s video of her pet Ludo being the sweetest little guardian only a few minutes later went viral, melting a billion hearts all over the Internet around the globe!
“He will forever protect them,” wrote one TikTok user.
“When you have a home full of presence and care and respect and belonging and SO MUCH LOVE,” another one added.
Ludo’s owners assumed that it was only reserved for Jaxon, but this incredible Huskita decided to show them otherwise in the most adorable way. Two years later, he’s still this little good boi who still protects both of his siblings with the same intensity.
“He’s still the GOODEST boy 2 years on! Except now he’s got 2 babies to check on,” Tia wrote in a separate TikTok post.
Not Leaving His Siblings’ Side
Not only is Ludo the best night guardian angel, he also doesn’t forget his daily job!
When joining in on family fun, walking patrols, and doing some chores, you had better believe Ludo still patrols Jaxon & Bonnie. He goes with them nearly everywhere they go, plays with them, walks with them, helps them negotiate every stage of life.
Needless to say, Ludo is not only a nanny but also the big brother everyone dreams of.
And, best of all — everything he does, he does it naturally!
Ludo is not solely trained to fill this role in his life. Not at all — he protects his siblings naturally, and he responds to his instincts.
He’s been part of the family for so long, but Ludo still manages to amaze his owners every day. He long ago outgrew any label of a pet. Ludo is a full-fledged member of the family who participates, assists, and makes their lives as sweet as he can!
