For those who love dogs, there is nothing worse than seeing an abandoned dog left to learn how to survive on their own.
Unfortunately, that is not familiar; there are miserable and abused dogs around every nook and cranny. On one of the days, a man came to work and was greeted by an awful perspective: a black and white dog lying before his workplace.
But she had a dog bag full of toys beside her, so she wasn’t completely without companionship. She must have felt her entire world had collapsed, having been cast aside by her family. I lapsed into despair; those toys were the only moments of comfort to her.
Wishing he could help, the man sent a text to his friend, Evelyn Flores, who he knew would want to know.
She wasn’t able to come that day but said she would stop by very first thing in the morning. Evelyn sank deeper when she came the next day. Flores the Dodo: Someone had stolen the bag of toys.
“They left the bag empty.”
Now, not only was this dog abandoned but had also lost her beloved buddies. Which was a God awful irony and had left Evelyn with both heartache and rage. Action led by Evelyn to make her services crippled, it is impossible for someone to be so heartless towards a pitiful animal.
She even took Action to set things straight. We already have eight dogs at home, but we simply could not leave this one behind. She took the pup home with her, offering sanctuary while she searched for a permanent family.
Evelyn named her Dulce, the Spanish word for “sweet” when she got to her new home. Evelyn said, I gave him that name because shes such an affectionate creature saying she is very grateful, loving and complies to the laws of nature.
Dulce easily adapted to her new environment. She was falling in love with the little dog and could not even picture life without her. Evelyn made a tough choice to make Dulce not just a foster but her forever home.
And from then on Dulce was one of the luckiest dogs on the planet being cared for and loved. Evelyn said, “We try to give her lots of love because we know she was abused. Our little get buddy was skinny when we got her and now she is chunky.
That day was the turning point — for both Dulce and Ana. Dulce would never be alone again, Evelyn promised.
A Fulfilled Promise
Two years later, the promise was fulfilled. Dulce flourishes in her new life basking in the embrace of a loving family. Evelyn not only gifted Dulce a new life, but herself something she never thought to ask for.
This story reminds us that love truly has the power to heal wounded souls. Ultimately, a tragedy turned into Redemption and the friendship story.
