The love of a dog is one-of-a-kind. A bond that runs deep, a loyal and loving bond that is not easily broken.
However, this bond like everything else good has its end. It hurts losing a pet, the wound takes time to heal.
But the world keeps spinning, and with time something good can blossom from the sorrow. And some folks in Connecticut recently learned that when they got a new puppy to help get over their recently deceased Pit Bull mix, Penny.
A New Beginning
Victoria Barbibault was devastated when Penny, her beloved dog, passed away from cancer at the age of 12. Her parents, Michael and Debra, were also devastated.
Michael and Penny had one of the closest bonds that I knew of, so it hit him especially hard.” Seeing how much her dad was going through, Victoria chose to do something extra special for him.

And she filmed the moment on TikTok as she walked into the garage with a little surprise — on May 19, 2024. At first, Michael was confused, but then he grew excited as he saw what she held in her arms… A puppy.
Tears of Joy
Debra rounded up quickly behind, and her delight was equal to Michael’s as they shared the sweetest surprise of all. She was so emotionally, when she saw the puppy (Archie) and as it looks just like Penny.
Victoria said, “Archie had the perfect personality!” The pair were at a Texas rescue center during an interview with Newsweek.
She said he “totally stood out to me right away because his eye patch shape is exactly like our Penny girl’s (and on the exact eye) and we felt like it was a complete sign. “
To Victoria, the resemblance was a sign from the heavens — proof that Archie should be a member of their family.
‘He will never be a substitute of Penny,’ she admitted, ‘but I really do believe that she sent him to us as an angel to fill our hearts up again.
Going Viral
Victoria was confident that her TikTok video would strike a chord with the viewers but never thought it will get such a huge response.
