Every day, puppies die from the terrible conditions they’re subject to. They’re at the mercy of the street, unable to secure their furever home or at least a place of safety.
A female street puppy named Mila was abandoned and alone on the street. She was at the advanced stage of anemia and her legs could no longer take her anywhere. And after a man walks by and makes the decision that her day to die is not today…
Diseased And Anemic In The Street
Three days ago, we got a call from a man called Esdras Andrade, who has been saving street animals all by himself since he was a thirteen-year-old child. He, who got a call about Mila and rushed to the place hearing them, will help Mila.
Mila had been extremely malnourished, sick, and anemic at the time. On top of that, she was extremely traumatized and afraid of humans, but had no strength left in her to bolt.
She literally said “I do” to Esdras without realizing he would be the very first human skin she ever has!
So, here is a little about the journey to win back her trust.
Having been left in such an awful condition, she had a long road ahead to earn her faith in humanity back.
When she first entered her safe house, she was very shy, not at all a character. But there was one clear thing — she was a nice puppy who needed loves and care!
Esdras removed her filthy coat and bathed Mila — perhaps for her very first time!
Her First Bath Ever
Incredibly, she didn’t complain at all when he put her in a tub and began giving her a bath. Far from it — it was like she took a deep breath and felt the weight of the world melt off her shoulders for the first time in ages.
“Mila is feeling much better. From when she was bathed for the first time, the shower gel made her skin so much softer and scented. “It’s the friendliness, and it’s the gentleness that we feel from Mila.”
Waiting For A New Home
In a nurturing new home for only a week, Mila has already shown such improvement. She wasn’t even as frightened as when Esdras first brought her.
She began to eat better, roam the house, and sniff through her new shelter with her gentle, eager nose. A broken heart turned into a beautiful, sweet personality that developed under those sad eyes, and Mila became the lovey-dovey, the sweet companion.
Now, she’s eager to meet her new family and embark on a beautiful journey as a family dog. And, we hope she does!
