Hot weather can be brutal for our four legged friends lacking shelter.
Unfortunately, thousands of dogs are indeed forced to endure the heat in places such as hare streets, off-the-beaten-path, landfills or woods. Consequently, a great deal of these furballs struggle big time and only a few can rescue themselves without human help.
A woman discovered a scene like this on her property, and she was shocked. A puppy tipped on the edge of life and death, waiting for help to come — until she decided it was time to save herself.
Found At The Last Moment
That heartbreaking site completely devastated the woman. The pup was unable to raise its head. Instead, this little, tiny baby was lying as if it had just decided life itself wasn’t even worth living.
It was hot in the neighborhood. The puppy passed out from the intense 107-degree heat.
Without a second thought, she carried the puppy to her car and drove it to the nearest vet clinic.
Upon examination, the vets discovered major injuries to the puppy’s neck. The team, therefore, assumed that the young pup had been attacked by a larger animal, which first put it in this state — something ambiguous through its background.
This two-month-old infant was placed directly in the care and treatment 24 hours a day. It was syringe-fed and treated for its wounds as soon as possible.
Too bad the furbaby still was not strong enough to open his eyes or move his head. And all the puppy needed was time. And luckily it had plenty of both now!
The kit started to pull through during her first week in ICU.
The tough little one had already begun eating soft food and taking tiny steps. But, that was about it. Its rescuers were in no rush; it had a long way to go.
The pup’s rescuer came by nearly every day to visit, bringing her other dog with her in an attempt to cheer the new sibling up. She also knew the puppy needed a home and could not walk away. And just like that this baby appeared with a new home & a new family!
All it took was a couple of weeks of love and TLC and the darn puppy was ready to head to its forever place.
Chubby Wave Hello To The World
It represented one long treacherous journey with a few ups and downs along the way, but ultimately success — the little puppy made it!
And she swapped the clinic for a lovely cozy house, and her family who loved it so much. This little furry baby was all grown up into a happy, chubby pup in just a couple of weeks.
Needless to say, she is beyond grateful that the newest addition of her family can finally have a big smile on its face.
From a puppy staring death in the face without even getting a chance to fight, to now happily wagging his tail looking out for tomorrow and the next day and the next.
The pooch can now have fun adventures with its new doggo brother, all thanks to its new mama’s dedication. Life is going to be very sweet from now on.
