Brody, a 12-week-old K-9 comfort dog, had a very important day ahead of him — his swearing-in ceremony at the Bristol Police Department. But instead of soaking in the attention, Brody decided it was the perfect time to take a nap! 😴🐶
“He plays hard and sleeps even harder,” joked Officer Keith Medeiros, Brody’s handler. “When he’s not playing, he’s sleeping — and that’s tough because he sleeps a lot!”
Originally, the police department considered adding a bomb-sniffing dog to the team. But Officer Medeiros had a different idea — a therapy dog to bring some much-needed comfort to the force. And boy, did Brody deliver! From the moment he arrived, everyone instantly smiled whenever he was around.

On the big day, Brody was placed on the desk for his swearing-in. But instead of standing proudly, he made himself comfy and drifted off to sleep. 🐕💤 It was more of a sleeping-in ceremony than a swearing-in, but no one seemed to mind.
