Each shelter dog has a dream that drives them and helps you cope with the long days spent languishing in a shelter kennel.

The dream comes true of a forever home with an amazing family.

Willow, a Corgi mix- who was rescued after being found left for dead in 1998- wanted nothing more than to be able to have a home and someone to love.

After the passing of her senior dog Marley, Candice Yates from Johnson City, Tennessee, decided to adopt a shelter dog.

Willow Moves In With Her Mom

Yates fell in love with Willow when she came to the shelter and met her.

It only took her visiting a few times, but Uglow was sure Willow the dog was going home with her.

The pooch was unable to hide her excitement when Yates arrived to pick her up. Ran into her arms, kissing.

Heart fluttered for happy Willow after moving in with her forever mom. She loved her new toys, and the nice bed.

Willow gazed at her mom with eyes glimmering with gratitude and tenderness. She felt that she had the best phase of her life already started.

She loved her forever mom like she wanted to be all cuddled up with her 24/7. That little girl loved to snuggle.

Willow went on car rides with her — she loved that. Sticking her head out of the window, she felt liberated.

While the doggo loved riding along in the car with her mommy, she loved coming home even more.

Her mother shared a hysterical video on her TikTok that captured the adorable moment the puppy understood she was going back home.

True Happiness

Once Willow spotted her and her mother getting near their home, she immediately started whining and beaming with excitement.

She lived in a different part of the town so every time we turned into our neighborhood, about one or two streets over, she’d start whining and her tail would be going crazy,” Yates told Newsweek.

Originally, her forever mom thought Willow had barked because she spotted another pup in the Johnson City area.

Yates quickly understood that the doggo was glad to be going home.

And this is how Willow reacts every time her and mom go for a ride.

I have my suspicions, but I think she just believes that this place is home. Yates said when asked how Willow felt: “To a shelter dog that has come from hard pasts, having a stable home makes the world of difference.

Willow gets into her home and she firmly stand up on her back paws, and in that moment of entering the house, a gorgeous smile designs over Willow’s face.

The adorable pup has the best life ever. Well herself, knowing her mom loves her more than anyone.
