Everyone knows puppies love kids. They both enjoy the same things—playing, napping, and exploring the world one paw at a time. But just like humans, puppies need their moms before they’re ready to hang out with friends.
Sadly, Panda, a two-month-old Africanis mix, didn’t get that chance.
Meet Panda
Panda was handed over to some local kids by a stranger. One of the kids’ moms quickly realized this little pup was way too young to be without her mother. She did her best to care for Panda but knew the puppy needed more help.
That’s when she called Sidewalk Specials, a dog rescue group known for stepping in to save the day.
The rescuers rushed over and immediately gave Panda some much-needed milk to fill her hungry tummy. They didn’t stop there. Panda was taken straight to the vet for a checkup.
The vet found Panda was severely malnourished and had a disease called Biliary, caused by a parasite. Poor Panda was going to need some serious care.
She’ll be staying at the vet for a while, where she’ll get all the attention she needs to grow big and strong. But soon, Panda will need a forever home full of love.
If you think you can be that special someone for Panda, don’t hesitate to contact Sidewalk Specials.
Puppies and Their Moms
Puppies should stay with their moms until they’re at least eight weeks old. This helps them grow up healthy and happy. Here’s why:
👉 Social Skills: They learn how to behave with other dogs and people.
👉 Nutrients: Their mom’s milk provides vital nutrients and antibodies to build a strong immune system.
👉 Comfort: Staying with their mom reduces stress and anxiety, making them feel safe.
👉 Temperament: Being with mom helps them develop a stable and calm personality.
Separating puppies from their moms too early can lead to problems like aggression, anxiety, and trouble socializing. It can even cause health issues that last a lifetime.
Panda was lucky enough to find help just in time, and soon she’ll be ready for a new life full of love!
