On her way back home, one evening a kind lady saw a dirty street puppy. This poor puppy was soaked in mud all over with a cold body, puppy puffing due to shivering.
The woman could see that the little puppy had to be only a month or two old, and looked completely lost and alone. Seeing the little creature fight for its life stirred her heart.
It took the second heartbreak for her to realize she had to save that little life.
A New Beginning
Not to be discouraged, the woman picked her up and took her home. A bath to wash away the dust was first on the agenda.
Washing the puppy she thought she could already be starting to see it; this filthy furry thing was a beautiful little dog.
The woman then provided the puppy with some milk to drink, which she hungrily consumed as if it had been days since her last meal.
Still, the little pup settled right down with a full tummy wanting only to curl up — and no longer worried about being inside.
She fell asleep for the first time in what must felt like forever, lulled by the warmth and safety of her new home.
Bagel Finds a Home
The kind woman brought the puppy home where she spent her first night in a warm place, before taking it to a vet for a check-up.
The vet told us the pup was fit as a fiddle and would only need vaccinations in a month or so. News that made her rescuer’s heart soar when she thought about how quickly she had grown attached to the new furry friend she’d taken on overnight.
Therefore, a woman adopted her and named her Bagel. After that, she had a new mom who loved her and took good care of her. Bagel had a cold nose and warm heart, warmer than she ever knew or desired.
Settling In
Bagel took to her new life like a duck to water. And she started responding to her name, and adored new mum!
They enjoyed being together so much that they started to have a hard time separating, their bond became stronger by the day. Bagel was provided regular meals, which were crucial to her growth and development — she was still so young!
Bagel’s mom did all that was necessary to provide her with nutrition and bedding among other things.
Work Adventures
Then, Bagel’s mom decided to bring her to work one day. The adorableness of Bagel immediately struck their co-workers and they couldn’t get enough of her playful antics.
All Bagel ever wanted was the exposure and she was just loving it. She was a huge hit at the office where her presence brought endless smiles and laughter to all.
Health Hiccups
Bagel’s mum said her dogs gasp so often that she took her to the vet again. As it turned out, Bagel was having some digestive issues but soon after being treated she made a full recovery.
So her vaccinations were right on schedule, and she managed to get through them all with little crying in the presence of mom. Those visits kept Bagel well and strong as she grew.
One day, while hurrying up to welcome her mom home, Bagel got one of her paws caught on the door.
She was hurt, but of course with correct care she healed quickly. Bagel’s spirits remained high despite the minor setback; she was still just as happy and active.
It was amazing to see how much strength a tiny little creature could have.
Living Her Best Life
Bagel is now living a true fairytale: full of love and joy. Today, we are tracing her journey from a dirty stray to beloved family member. Bagel is truly fortunate to have such a wonderful owner who makes sure she has everything she needs to be happy.
Every day had been a new adventure, between playtime and snuggles and endless love—it was nothing like living on the streets.
