Rummi is a tiny dog with a incredibly tragic backstory.
She had lived her entire life tethered by a chain to a filthy shed with no ability to roam free.
The filth of the many homes she lived in, unsanitary conditions and unfit food to eat. And, of course, the chain around her neck was barely long enough for her to be able even to take a single cautious step without being stopped from doing so, which denied any regular exercise she needed to be healthy.
There was no shelter to protect from the elements so she stayed outside, exposed to every rain and storm that came durch.
Rummi’s many attempts to escape these toxic and unsanitary living conditions were futile. Luckily (fortuitously), this time, her luck was changing, with the view of a kind hooman coming in her direction.
Rummi immediately jumped up on her back legs, wrapping herself around the rescuer, but she wouldn’t let her stop petting either.
New Life
Well, when the rescuer first spotted her, he took the pup without hesitation and brought it to a shelter that would provide love and affection for this little one.
When we got to the really lovely rescue shelter, Rummi started running in circles using her tail like a propeller!
Rummi is a free dog who can use her zoomies on the outside and play all day long!
Soon after, Rummi learned that being a dog involves living at the shelter.
She enjoys running about and playing with all of the other dogs in the shelter, but equally likes to spend time with the staff showing her gratitude for everything they have done for her.
Rummi was a good-looking pup, so her forever home with a family was only a day away.
Now, she never has to stay awake wondering where her next meal will come from or if she will have a roof over her head tonight because she finally lives the life that was always meant for her.
Rummi gets to spend her days at fun playdates, eating healthy and tasty meals, and spending time with the best humans who keep reminding her that she is a good girl!
