Turbo: The Two-Legged Pup Who Proved Nothing Can Stop Him

The moment Turbo walked into the vet clinic, his future human couldn’t help but fall in love. This tiny, adorable pup had a rough start — Turbo the dog was born without front legs and had a hard time getting around. He was just six weeks old when his littermates started ganging up on him. The lady who had him couldn’t keep him, and Turbo’s journey began.

Turbo’s new owner quickly realized that he needed extra help to get moving. She spent the first two weeks helping him scoot around, using little pieces of rice to encourage him to build up strength in his back legs. But Turbo’s determination was undeniable.

At that time, carts for small dogs weren’t available until they were much older, but waiting wasn’t an option. Turbo needed to start learning early, so his owner got creative. Turbo’s first cart was a DIY creation made from a helicopter toy. They tried all kinds of makeshift carts to see what would work for the stubborn little pup, who often just sat there as if to say, “What are we doing here?”

Then, something amazing happened. Turbo’s story went viral, and it caught the attention of an aerospace engineer in San Diego. He designed a custom cart with rollerblade wheels and shipped it over to Turbo. Even with the new cart, Turbo wasn’t running just yet. But one day, Turbo’s owner brought out her other dog, and that was all it took. Turbo took off, zooming around without a care in the world.

Now, Turbo doesn’t let anything hold him back. Whether it’s jumping on the couch or playing tug-of-war, Turbo acts just like any other dog, and his big personality shines through in everything he does. He’s truly an inspiration, proving that nothing can stop a determined spirit.
