The following morning, she saw a coyote chasing the little dog. Acting quickly, Sydney scared the coyote off, realizing the urgency of rescuing the pup.
Later that evening, their neighbors managed to catch the puppy and brought her to Sydney and her partner’s home.
The puppy was happy to spend the night in a warm home. She finally felt at ease after a long time. She knew that she had chosen the right house.
Sydney and her partner were overjoyed to have her safe. They felt an instant connection and were relieved she was no longer alone.
They took the puppy to a local rescue center to check for a microchip, but none was found. Deciding to give her a forever home, they named her Dobby.
Their only concern now was how their French bulldog, Gary, would react to a new sibling. To their delight, Dobby and Gary became fast friends.
“I was shocked at how much they have become best friends and how much they really love hanging out with each other,” Sydney told The Dodo.
The two dogs were inseparable, always playing together and snuggling up for naps. Their bond brought even more joy to the household.
Dobby became a loving member of their family. The puppy couldn’t contain her happiness. She enjoyed cuddling with her parents on the couch, soaking up all their love.
“She is just part of the family now, and it feels super normal. Feels like she’s been here forever,” she added.
Sydney and her partner truly believed that Dobby was destined to find them. They were thrilled that the little pup chose their home.
Whenever they saw her looking out through the window, they remembered how much Dobby’s life had changed.
She used to be a hungry and frightened stray who desperately needed some love and care. Now, she gets showered with love and she enjoys the wonderful view while sitting on a couch in a cozy home.
