During a regular rescue, Chibi Teddy found an isolated and scared stray dog whining by a wooden fence. This poor animal didn’t know if the approaching human was friend or foe.
She had definitely been through some shit and didn’t want to be vulnerable again.
Building Trust
Slowly, Teddy came closer and presented her with food to show she was harmless. She shared the meal with the starving dog who, now desperate for help, knew that perhaps—just maybe—someone was there to save her.
The little dog went into immediate shock and even as Teddy prised her into a kennel, she stood trembling in terror. However, after we got inside it all changed.
It started to dawn on her she was safe at last, and she began wagging her tail.
A Fresh Start
The dog calmed down and Teddy was able to offer some additional food and water, helping her to feel safe. A vet trip was in order and she received some much-needed care. Then a warm bath calmed her body and spirit.
Teddy whisked her away and the sweet pup who was so shy she cowered in the corner, now got to begin her new life in a loving home setting!
It was nothing less than a miracle to her, she got an easy going collar, a comfortable bed and love.
Blossoming in Her New Home
In her new forever home, the sweet girl started to blossom. Still shy around new people, but she became fast friends with Teddy.
In him she was safe and loved for the first time. Although she still had remnants of fear from her street days, the love and compassion she encountered helped soothe and heal.
And now that stray has a forever after with a family who loves her. A dog that just wanted a second chance — the ending of this story is truly beautiful.
The Power of Love
The little dog remained an enigma for the first few days, but as hours turned to days and then weeks the personality began to shine. Playing with toys and sitting outside on warm afternoons became her pleasure.
Not much later her new hobby became to run after butterflies in the garden, which appealed to her mischievous side.

Every day in her forever home, this sweet girl learned a little more — how to play fetch and sit (sort of)! So they were the best duo ever as this new chapter unfolded.
It also started to make acquaintance with other pets around. As she wandered from place to place, her sweet disposition captured many hearts.
Now this formerly scared little stray has all the safety, happiness and friendship that she could ever want. We can recreate a broken human being with love: one little seed of kindness at a time.
