My unfortunate experience is not the case everywhere, as some dogs are suffering major abuse all over the world. Fortunately, there are also plenty of compassionate rescuers who are more than willing to do whatever it takes to help these types of animals.
So when a rescuer named Sabine from Little Steps Matter and her co-worker saw a severely emaciated pup tied to a pole with her head in a garbage bag in search of something to eat, their hearts shattered completely.
When they neared the pup, who was not frightened of them all, the tears could not be stopped as they untied the rope and released her.
However, as they picked her up and rushed her away to a place that would finally look after her, the two rescuers took solace in the knowledge that this pup would never again be so terribly treated.
Finally Safe
The rescue had named the pup Lisa, and she looked really rough, and they knew she must have been this way for some time because it was impossible for a dog to get this way in a couple of days… this girl had been neglected for a long, long time.
Somebody abandoning her like this, it was so cruel,” he said. There was knotting her in such a fashion, she couldn’t follow me to them after they had thrown her away,’ Sabine told the Dodo.

They rushed Lisa to a local vet clinic immediately, where a nose-to-tail examination was performed.
The vets decided that she had lost a lot of body liquid, she had mange, and, in addition to that, she even had early stages of cancer.
The patient was placed on an IV and kept at the vet clinic for 24-hour monitoring.
Recovery Time
After two days at the clinic, Lisa was already feeling better.
She was a little more spirited and was wagging her tail when we went to greet her. Five days later, Lisa was free to leave the clinic and returned to our safehouse,” she continued.
When Lisa first arrived at her new home, she was a little overwhelmed. With everybody being so nurturing, she really did not know how to handle herself there because she was accustomed to being taken care of.

Fortunately it did not take her that long to figure out this lifestyle was the real deal. And with the passing days, so did Lisa’s mood, demonstrating to all how elated she felt through the sparkle in her eyes.
This gorgeous little lady came out of her shell within 10 days of being in the shelter. Her fur got matted in places but otherwise came in nicely, and she gained so much weight.
Lisa was just four weeks away from being disease free!
Now, she was finally fit enough to romp and play with the other dogs.
She was frightened at first, but our pack is always very gentle with newcomers, and she has been fitting in well with all of them. Lisa really came into her own, blossomed into a playful yet gentle and loving teenager,” Sabine said.
New Life
Lisa got a new lease on life looking and feeling like a new dog.
Now she is a fully active, fun loving dog that loves being with hoomans, playing and running — she LOVES the beach!
And a forever home too!
Her name is Lisa, she is a small mixed breed of about 1 year old. Initially, she is a bit shy — for a moment she will be nervous, but after she realizes that she is safe, Ready to speak.

Simply put, Lisa is a miracle dog and she deserves the best,” said Sabine.
