A rescue team heard of a guard dog in need, so they went to check it out. When the task force arrived, they said it was in worse condition than expected. The dog was tied with a chain in the tight place and she had just given birth to puppies, But its owners were not worried about her or their pups.
The look of the mother dog, her eyes begging for help and silently asking someone to provide a home for her little newborn. Crusading to the rescue, they thought of a way to shepherd both mom and her babies away from harm.
A Heartbreaking Discovery
After a deal was struck between the rescuers and owners of mama dog, they were able to rescue her for an undisclosed amount of money.
Unfortunately by the time they arrived most of her litter had too, all but one in fact just a puppy with five. Although the other rescuers were unable to save other puppies who didn’t survive, they wanted these two survivors to have a chance at life.
The family had hoped the life embracing love they saw in the mother over her surviving puppy would attest to the fact happy end was still a possibility. Her unwavering commitment to her one surviving pup, and trauma; was a reminder of just how strong an survivor can be.
New Beginnings
The mother and her pup seemed to have the most beautiful future ahead, nestled in care, and enveloped by love of their new home.
The caring mother never left the side of her young, keeping him safe and well at all times. And, fifteen days after they were rescued the tiny puppy finally opened his eyes and saw this whole world.
The rescuers watched as he got bigger, they were reminded of that day and the harsh environment he had survived, this was a new beginning for them both; motherhood — hope.
A Loving Environment
Rescuers were so inspired by the mother’s strength and determination to save them they knew it was their mission to continue in helping animals.
Gaedong, as he was later named by the rescuers came to find himself amidst other set of furry friends at their hands.
That was their endless playdates and comfortable naps, bringing each other joy and love for Gaedong to thrive in. This environment is warm and comfy, it gives Gaedong companions but also made him feel at home like never before.
Leaving the Past Behind
Gaedong turned into a warm, lively puppy in this caring surroundings. He’s since taken to toddling around his new digs, perfect expression of a little love turned liveshift. Juan and his mother finally have a brighter future in the loving arms of those who saved them decades ago.
And their determination to go from the depths of despair, all the way back up to wearing that joyous smile is a much-needed reminder: A small act of kindness can mean everything for those who need it most.
