Our dogs have our full hearts, and we would have zero pictures of life without them.

There are few things more terrifying than a missing four-legged best friend. After that nightmare, dog owners will shower every corner imaginable for their pups and wish to be reunited with them.

Once finding their lovely, fluffy pals, they are relieved and overjoyed.

Unfortunately, not all dog owners feel this way towards their dogs, and some do not even bother to look for their dogs if lost.

Today’s story is about P!rate; a lost pooch who knows how i t feels to be rejected by h is family. Pirate’s owner didn’t serch for him, and the frightened canine spent months roming the streets in California and fighting to survive.

Rescuing Pirate

Eldad and Loreta, who run an animal rescue group called Hope For Paws in Los Angeles, recently received a phone call about a stray dog who was living on the streets.

The family that contacted them said the stray pup frequently came into their yard after their own female Pit Bull, named Blue. So she broke the dog in, and those dogs started spending time together.

When Eldad And Loreta got to the family, they saw the adorable homeless little pup in the yard. He had an injury to his eye, which looked like it required attention.

Loreta enlisted Blue to assist in the rescue of the pup so that he could be caught. The moment the beautiful Blue arrived at the yard, the stray following her — who would be named Pirate.

Eldad enclosed the area. The pooch was scared, and he attempted to escape capture, but Loreta eventually managed to leash him.

As she stroked his head, Pirate knew the humans were his friends. He felt safe.

Eldad and Loreta took him out and placed him in their vehicle, rushing off to the veterinary hospital.

A microchip was located after the vet scanned the pup. The rescuers rang the owner, who they thought would be overjoyed and reunite with his lost dog.

The owner shocked them, saying he no longer wanted Pirate back as he had got another puppy.

A True Fighter

Eldad and Loreta vowed that they would get Pirate a perfect home he deserved. They held him close and soothed his soul.

A medical check-up was done by the vet. His vet had no choice but to remove the eye, but thankfully, he was able to save the other eye.

Not even close to a barrier for Pirate. He was a true fighter. Following his surgery, his rescuers cuddled up to him to let the gentle pooch know he was okay, as he wagged his tail to communicate that he was doing just fine.

At that moment, he was optimistic that things would be getting better for him soon.

Pirate Lives His Best Life

Pal Rescue took Pirate under their wing, so the pup went to a very welcoming foster home and continued to heal.

Just a few days later, a lovely young couple named Morgan and Gideon fell in love with the puppy doggo. They found him an incredible forever home.
