Rescue Dogs Leave Caregivers Scratching Their Heads Over Mysterious Shiny Items Stuck to Their Foreheads!

Peanut Butter and Jelly got plenty of attention when they were rescued from the streets and brought to Sonoma County Animal Services in California.

When they first got to the shelter, the workers realised there was something glinting on their foreheads.

The pups surprised and confused the shelter staff the most when they noticed that both dogs had jewelry glued to their foreheads.

Even though most of the shelter members had been in this field for years, they had never seen anything like that.

The Adorable Duo Finds A Home

Jelly — Peanut Butter is a Beagle/Pug mix, and Jelly (a female) is a Chihuahua mix. When they finally got to the shelter a veterinary team chose that jewels and glue have to take off. They wanted to prevent this glue from being toxic.

When the glue was taken off, it was concluded that it did not hurt the wellbeing of the canines. But Peanut Butter and Jelly were a secondary find and was left with the scars of their foreheads.

Apart from that, the pups were fine, and each wanted to meet their parents for life and make a new life.

Fortunately for the doggos, a lovely family came forward and offered them a loving home. This was a loving household looking after them. Unfortunately, the pups were left without an owner when their owner died and had nowhere to go.

Now that Peanut Butter and Jelly were seniors, Muttville Senior Dog Rescue; a San Francisco based non-profit dedicated to finding forever homes for dogs over 7 years old agreed to take them on.

Lisa Arden, their foster mom, took very good care of them. She snuggled up with them and showed them plenty of love.

They are lovely dogs, super loving and sociable with people, good with other dogs. In foster together, they are the best of buds and both their goofy personalities continue to shine. They both are still pretty active and enjoy running around and playing. They are simply the best dogs ever — ” Arden told The Dodo.

Arden said that despite Peanut Butter and Jelly both being “big personalities”, Jelly was the boss of Peanut Butter. He enjoyed her telling him what to do.

A Forever Home

Their foster mom was so concerned that she created a TikTok video (above) about the pair of pooches after they’d been in foster care for three months without anyone expressing interest in adopting them. Hoping to have them meet their potential adopters, she introduced them to her followers.

The video went viral. The quirky, lovable canines with their personalities won the hearts of countless on social media.

Arden posted on her Instagram about awesome news updating that on her day October 26 in 2023 Peanut Butter and Jelly got to meet their new dad virtually. They had an amazing time.

Arden stated that she was pretty sure the pooches got a good home. They are counting down the days to when their adoption is finalized and they can ride off into the sunset with their new dad.

We are happy that the two beautiful pups have found their forever home and wish them all of the adventures with their new dad.
