This pitbull was adopted by his favorite volunteer, instantly becoming the happiest dog ever

Unfortunately, quite a few dogs are not so fortunate and will not be part of a joyful home. Every day, dogs of all shapes, sizes and ages are dumped on the street and left to survive on their own.

Sad world, this, but luckily there are at least a hundred times as nice people out there who really do get things done.

Shelters such as Lewis and Clark Humane Society provide dogs with a second chance at life.

This open-admission humane society takes in over 1500 animals annually at this shelter in Helena, Montana. They do not turn away dogs that are very elderly or those who have special needs, opting to keep them until they are adopted, with a 98% adoption rate.

It takes time to settle the nerves of the new dogs; some get adopted soon, but for the rest of them, this shelter is almost a permanent home. It is preferable to being out on your own, yet there is never anything like having loving parents and a residence.

Bubba Jr. is one of those long-term shelter dogs — Sadly, it was where he made his home for 93 days.

He is a gorgeous boy, but he is also a Pitbull and that meant he really struggled getting adopted.

In one of the posts about it, the shelter said, “People are still dumping Pitbulls. Pitbull? Pittie? House Hippo? Slobber Monster? LCHS doesn’t care. They see me for what I am. A great big meathead sweetheart pooch!2

This breed is constantly surrounded by negative stereotypes, a huge drawback for adoption.

And with many rentals also being far from pet friendly – and especially in relation to Pitbulls – a vast number of landlords go straight in with a no to any furry friend in their house/apartment.

That reduces chances of being adopted to almost zero, which is why doggies like Bubba Jr. are at a shelter for so long.

These dogs are so pure, in the sense they often remain hopeful for the day happiness visits their life, and toileting it right at the door of their kennel if necessary.

In addition to having the best name ever, the shelter described Bubba Jr.

If we gave our dogs trophies, each of them would have a plaque for his/her respective trophy. Bubba J’s would read as such: Most Likely to Kiss. He loves running up to his human teammates to give them kisses and snuggles. He loves his fellow human friends, always up for a walk or a movie on the couch. Bubba loves to practice his kissing style, but when he is not at work perfecting his technique, you can find him chowing down his kibble. He really is a one-man dog team, he has no use for dogs (or any cats, for that matter) stealing his thunder.

Bubba loved people at the shetler, but there was this one voluntrer that Bubba Jr. especially loved. And it seemed like this particular volunteer loved Bubba right back.

Answer: Bubba was sent to the shelter in July as the first push at adoption came to be a total of 93 days in the shelter before a volunteer lost patience on his perfect home, so (you guessed it) they decided to complete Bubba’s journey to a furever home with themselves. That was a lovely day for the shelter as a whole.

This act surprised everyone so much that they decided the first thing to do was to post this news on their Facebook profile but this time allow Bubba the opportunity to speak.

Everyone melted at Bubba’s diary entry. Little Bubba was finally getting his happy ending a warm bed to crawl into and snuggles and new toys, but most importantly a new dad who will love his new son unconditionally, chocolat, people were so, so happy for him to be, as de, to know how to, be

That simple act of selflessness gave the best example to all why shelter dogs, so often waiting for someone to love them, deserve the chance to shine!

“Dear Diary,

Day 5 in my new abode and let me tell you, the differences are astounding… I love my new life in this new little world referred to as home. I wake up with my Favorite Volunteer each day– and every day is the best day ever!

If you are going to adopt a dog, make sure you go to your local shelter, and perhaps you will be the Favorite Volunteer that helps to make someone’s Life a little brighter.

There are Way too Many Dogs that will sit & wait until someone loves them till the end of time, But unfortunately, Many of Them will never even make it to the shelter but are taken to the vet & killed.
