I have to give a shout out, I really have admiration for anyone that is actually doing dog rescues. We have tonnes of work every day and the job is challenging enough.
But at the end of the day to get that smile from a puppy when you rescue one and give it a second chance, is beyond rewarding.
And although the job also has a lot of heartbreak, there is joy in knowing you make dogs and other people’s lives so much better!
Traffic was making it difficult for Suzette Hall to respond the moment she received a call about a dog family thatneeded rescuing so she called her friend Genavie Reese, who decided to help.
The Sweetest Dog Family
When Reese got to where the dogs were, he went right away to find them. It didn’t take her long to locate them.
All of them looked pretty chilly at first glance. I doubt they were out there very long. They were also really hungry. But they looked as if they had not eaten for days.
They were in a cardboard box and it did not warm them up from chilly nights. Curled together for warmth, all they had was one another.
Being up close and personal with them, Reese found out that they were not afraid of her. They just wanted some help.
So, she gingerly took them out of the box to put their feet on. They appeared quite frail, but seemed free from severe health concerns.
This was a good sign! Reese took this sweet dog family and put them in her kennel to take home with her so they could be in a calm and cozy place for at least some time.
Hope For A New Life
They had a comfortable place to sleep and they were fed frequently. Mama dog always lets the babies eat first, Reese noticed
She feared for their lives, and wished them strength. She could wait. The most wholesome sight Reese had ever witnessed.
Reese is taking good care for the family and hopefully they will all get a family some day.
All that’s left to do, for now, is take them to the vet. Reportedly, Reese will ensure they are given the appropriate medical treatment so those puppies can grow into fit, sound adults.
Though we do not know the next chapter of this family’s story, one can be sure that they are in loving hands and will continue to find their best friends for life.
