A compassionate woman rushed to the shelter to save a dog right before her euthanasia!

The one thing that stray puppies desire the most in their many walks on the empty streets is for a human to see them and for a human to bring them to a place where they can be safe. They yearn for the soft caress of a human touch and to be loved and pampered the way that they so richly deserve.

Every dog dream of a loving home to go to, to cuddle with their humans and finally be happy after rescue when being brought to the shelters.

My heart aches every time I think about how many shelters put senior dogs and dogs with health issues on euthanasia lists.

Noodle was one of those shelter pups who was on the lists to be put to sleep because of his medical condition and because nobody was prepared to give him a second chance at a loving home.

Little did he know a giant-hearted woman was coming to rescue him while he lay alone in his kennel the night before he was supposed to be euthanized again the next day.

Saving Noodle’s Life

During their next call, they helped a sweet, lost dog who had recently been taken to the Detroit shelter. He was losing consciousness to a degenerative brain disease. His condition also led to him wobbling.

His owners never came to get him and no one wanted to adopt him while he was in the shelter.

After Noodle held Stray, the vet later suggested that Noodle should be put down — how tragic! He was due to be PTS the following day.

Tiffany Perkins is the founder of PAWS Friend Network, a sanctuary and expansive advocacy network for paraplegic, amputee, wheeled, and senior shelter dogs. Perkins also provides senior hospice care.

That night, on her way home, she remembers not being able to sleep after hearing about Noodle. And the next morning, all she could think about was getting him out.

Falling In Love With The Adorable Puppy

She immediately adored Noodle, as soon as she brought him back to her home in Detroit she felt he belongs in her home. He seemed so sweet and cuddly, and the two just clicked!

It wasn’t clear at first for Perkins if Noodle would be a hospice case. She had doted on him, and she wanted to give him the best life she could.

He also did really well with her other dog, Luke, and they became best buddies. They spent so much time cuddling and comforting each other.

Because Noodle was a little too underweight (shocker!) Perkins assumed he had been living on the streets for weeks. She further provided him a special diet and his weight gain began together with his strength.

The cute dog seized every chance he could to plant kisses all over his mama’s face.

They learned plenty about Noodle’s disease, Perkins said. He was excited, so he fainted, and she tried to make his life predictable. She ensured that her dog was really calm?

Perkins also dropped her bed to allow her dog to climb in and out by himself, since it helps her with the climbing.

She received a lower couch and placed it in the window so Noodle and his brother could look outside.

The greatest joy I ever had in my life was seeing him happy and the world outside his window.

Noodle used to sit with his mom and his brother and watch the rain. While his mom held him — he felt secure and adored.

Noodle Lives A Happy Life

The lovable dog used to take some walks. Perkins took him to the beach and that was a winner. His face lit up like fireworks, his eyes were drinking the ocean, he was smiling drinking in the full sun and feeling it.

Perkins is obsessed with Noodle, calling him like “the biggest, sweetest marshmallow.”

This cuddly doggo helped her get over a rough patch in her life, she says. Noodle is all hers, and she counts herself lucky.

Noodle is such a personal comfort for me… I really feel he was just meant to be here at this timing.” We were mourning our older dog and he really helped us through that. And it was just because you know, he just such a nice person, such a nice person, just such a such a big teddy bear,’ Perkins said.

We are so happy that Noodle found a great forever home. He is loved and valued the way he should be.

A big shout out to Perkins for helping to raise awareness for senior and disabled shelter dogs and for providing Noodle with the loving home he has always dreamed of.
