You never know who will need help and when, if you can help do it.
It could be when you are getting home from the job and come across a serious car accident where there are none to help these people.
You could be walking in your neighborhood and see a house fire begin.
You can even be walking in a park and come across a body of an individual laying on the sidewalk.
Good or bad, surprises never lie still.
A few major and significant, many dim little at first yet worthy.
Belle was not so hopeful for a big event on that day.
So it was a good surprise, she never thought to get such a surprise and most importantly, something made her go out and help one in need.
On that day, when Belle appeared at the entrance of her friend house, she was escorted away toward other side of the road.
Someone needed her badly.
Who could it be?
Surprises Never End
That day, as Belle Bermudez stepped out of her friend’s house in South California, she noticed a woman waving energetically and asking her to get closer.
There was something off, but Belle did not have a moment of hesitation. They needed her help, and they needed it now.
@winesofimpact Our founder took in a stray dog to keep her safe from coyotes, found out she’s not microchipped, very very sweet, and very very pregnant. The next morning she delivered 7 puppies in the garage. Her name is Mama Swiftie. More adorable puppy videos coming soon.

The woman who waved to Belle took her to a bushy area and showed her something that looks fluffy curled up near the bushes.
It was a dog…scraggy, matted to hell and back, but still a real live dog.
Belle and the lady understood that they had to make a move quickly. So what do you do with a scaredy-dog so frightened of people that she can barely look at one?
My neighbor gave me a spare leash and lemonade from her fridge, thank God, because bolt. Swiftie took off in the opposite direction and ran up this hill toward the store after I tried to approach her at first. I was so scared she wouldn’t move, eat any treats or drink any water while we were around., said Belle.
After some talking them down (I assume), the dog relented and Belle took her with.
Sharon found a dog that she named as Swiftie and when they got her, the very first thing they did is check if there’s microchip for who would be the owner. Unfortunately, It was a no-win situation. Swiftie may have not had a home or a human to support her but she was still a stray.
That was when Belle knew she needed to assist and give Swiftie a temporary home.
Belle summoned some assistance from a friend to clean up the dog. She was in awful shape… covered in filth, her coat so tangled and overgrown.
Having washed and dried Swiftie between them, the two pals decided she needed a new haircut to go along with her new life.
Unbeknownst to them, Swiftie was sitting on a huge surprise they were about to find out about.
What could it be?
Your Plan Sounds Great, But I Have A Better One
And with all that excess fur gone, you could clearly see what Bella and her pal saw:
Swiftie was pregnant!
It was all that coat that made her bulging belly unnoticeable. They were able to figure out that when they peeled it away, Swiftie was in labor ready to give birth any day now.
So Belle thought it would be best to find out if any of the local shelters could take Swiftie in.
Belle said: “This would ensure she and her pups were taken care of proper[ly].” And I figured I would bring her there the next morning as soon as they opened at 10 a.m.)
But Swiftie was having none of it.
@winesofimpact Saying goodbye was hard. Knowing that she’s going to be unconditionally loved and cared for for the rest of her life by the most amazing woman made it easier.

This morning, when Belle woke up to take her to the shelter, Swiftie was acting very odd. Could it be? Was Swiftie ready to pop?
Indeed, she was!
At first, I panicked, but then magically … mom mode kicked in,’ said Belle. I called the friend who helped me groom her, and she dashed over with towels, and got there just as the third and fourth came along, to help get them cleaned up and nursing on Mama.
That frizzy ball of fluff became that little lady winner of baths turned out to be one brave mama stray. Swiftie also welcomed SEVEN puppies!

And they all had cool names, just like their mama! At home with Belle and her husband, who welcomed Swifties’ babies. Traffic Light, Lover, Augustine, Lavender, Haze and Cowboy as well as Saturn enjoyed having a share of the Bermudez household.
Stray dog – to be safe from coyotes—our founder brought her home, no microchip (not yet found), so very sweet and so very pregnant… The following morning, she had 7 pups in the garage. Her name is Mama Swiftie. Videos of cuter puppies are on the way.
We were only going to keep them until Swiftie was able to birth again.

One Week Later: Lost a few ounces, so I am adding formula and major Nutrical, and decided to hang onto that pair for 5-7 days max. And then that became 10 to 14 days. After that, we agreed to foster everyone through eight weeks and then place each cat into their own home. My husband and I both became attached to ensuring their growth., said Belle.
What To Do With Eight Dogs?
You keep them, that’s what!
Belle and her partner chose to keep all the pups until they were 8 weeks old and prepared for rehoming.
The road was a bumpy one. Others of the litter were not growing as quickly. Belle had to nurture them extra hard just so they might survive.
Her TLC (and some creativeness) was what kept Swiftie and triplet littermates whole.
The newborns came in June 2023. Well, now it is August, and some pups have already been able to find their furever home. Soon all of them will be with loving families (including momma Swiftie) by the end of this month.
Part miniature Poodle, part Pekinese (aka Peekapoo) named Swiftie was meant to be with her new mommy, and they are thrilled about it. Trading on her comfy little Southern California house for an adventure of a new one would seem to fit — and just make sense — as it appears Ms. Swiftie is all about those adventures, too.
Saying goodbye was hard. It helped knowing she was going to be loved and cared for unconditionally for the rest of her life by such an amazing woman.
Belle is sad that she will no longer have her mornings filled with puppy cuddles, but she is so proud to haved helped raised some such beautiful little souls. She is also more proud of herself for saving Swiftie — exactly what she means to be outside of the shell.
But now, Swiftie to be dog has learned to trust humans, loves and wishes that they would love him back.

Tracking all seven puppies and their mother into homes will prove tricky, but fingers crossed, Belle posts updates now and again on her TikTok.
